Jena Seiler is a teacher and interdisciplinary artist. She has a Ph.D. in interdisciplinary arts and an MFA in painting from Ohio University. Seiler’s teaching experience includes teaching interdisciplinary seminar courses in honors, 2-D and moving images studio art courses, as well as art appreciation and art history courses. Working across various media, she developed an expansive practice that led her to exhibit in solo exhibitions, collaborative group shows, and film festivals. This has also opened the opportunity for her to collaborate with other artists and scholars. Seiler and filmmaker Tijah Bumgarner’s feature documentary Picture Proof (2022) has been most recently recognized through the Lindsay Theater & Cultural Center's Emerging Filmmaker Showcase and programmed on KET and WVPB networks. This spring, Seiler and Nicole Martin’s short documentary The Keeping Space (2024) was featured in Single Channel’s 5th Annual Video Festival, and Seiler’s experimental short Plastic Wake (2024) was screened in the Big Muddy Film Festival.
