Kaya Capehart is a recent graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Fine Arts Music Education Program. Kaya has spent the past three summers working for the Governor’s School for the Arts as a residential advisor, intern, and co-residential supervisor. During her time at UK, she worked for the Creative Arts Living Learning Program in various roles such as a peer mentor, senior peer mentor, and communications assistant. Outside of University hours, Kaya has worked with individual music students and marching bands across the state.
Kaya has been involved in the arts as long as she can remember, including choir, band, and doing the occasional doodle. In her free time, she loves to craft, especially with her vinyl-cutting machine. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, her partner Joby, and her cat Max. Kaya is excited to work with current and future creative Wildcats!
