Dr. David Sogin teaches courses in string methods, principles of research, Foundations of Music Education, music learning and behavior, music and special populations, and directs theses and dissertations. Dr. Sogin is also the national chair of the MENC special research interest group in adult music education. He obtained his BM from Louisiana State University, MME from North Texas State University and awarded the PHD from The University of Texas at Austin in Music Education. Dr. Sogin presents research papers and publishes regularly nationally and internationally. His research interests include psychoacoustics, music learning and development, string education, and teacher effectiveness.
