Fine Arts Engagement

The College of Fine Arts makes an impact on campus, in Lexington and throughout the Commonwealth through our outreach and community engagement programs. Each year the College serves nearly 150,000 people through Schools and Community Activities, more than 20,000 through Exhibitions and more than 100,000 through Public Performances.

Fine Arts Institute - non-credit community visual art education courses

Orff-Schulwerk and General Music Training – music education workshops for teachers

Musikcare – a recreational music and wellness program for adults age 50 and over

New Horizons Band – a music performance ensemble for amateur musicians age 50 and up

Our ensembles travel to schools throughout the Commonwealth for lecture demonstrations, master classes, and more.
For school groups coming to campus, we often offer school matinees of Department of Theatre and Dance productions, guided tours of the Art Museum, and more.
