Outstanding Incoming Freshman Scholarship Audition Application

Available for new incoming freshman to apply. The Department of Theatre and Dance is committed to making scholarship opportunities available to our incredible incoming students. This is also a great opportunity to meet UK faculty and participate in a theatre or dance class. 



Theatre performance 
Please prepare a 1 to 2-minute monologue of your choice to perform. 

Design and/or Tech focused 
Examples of Work and/or be prepared to discuss your work in design and tech. 

Dance
Your BA in Dance audition will suffice for the scholarship audition; however, you must fill out the online application. If you are unable to attend the BA in Dance audition, but would still like to apply for a scholarship, prepare a 90-second dance in the genre of your choice. This dance can be choreographed by yourself or a choreographer.

If you have them, please bring your resume and headshot. 

Participants will have the opportunity to take a theatre or dance class following the audition. The Theatre class is 1:00-1:50 and the Dance Class will be 1:00-3:00
