In addition to being admitted to UK, a successful audition is required to be declared a dance major. Applications for admission to the University of Kentucky, as well as application deadline and materials information, are available on the UK Admissions site. High school theatre students are invited to engage in theatre workshops taught by UK's Theatre faculty, Q&As with both faculty and current students, and a tour of our facilities. Plus, all participants receive one complimentary ticket to our mainstage production, William Shakeperares’ As you Like It at 10am in the Guignol Theatre and lunch at Champions Kitchen in the Gatton Student Center.

If you are a high school dancer and interested in our program, we would love for you to attend our High School Dance Day on February 7, 2025.  During your visit, you will tour the facilities on the University of Kentucky’s beautiful campus, gain insight into what it is like to be a dance major at UK, take dance classes from our professional faculty, and attend Q&As with current dance students.
