The 45-credit BA in Theatre provides the flexibility to double major or minor in another discipline within a liberal arts education. The degree offers a comprehensive study of acting techniques, theatre history and criticism, stage management, design, production, acting for the camera, and playwriting. The department strives to bring a variety of performance and backstage opportunities, professional experience, and vibrant student-run productions. The distinguished faculty is committed to finding, developing, and enhancing each student’s goals, skills, and talents. Many Theatre majors enhance their degree by coupling their studies with other disciplines.
Dance BA

Musical Theatre Certificate
Students in this interdisciplinary program train with experts in Private Voice Coaching, Musical Theatre Dance and Technique as well as Master Classes and Musical Theatre Productions and Performances.
Filmmaking: Production and Dramatic Writing
Students in this cross-disciplinary certificate practice the craft of filmmaking with courses in the Department of Theatre & Dance and the School of Art & Visual Studies.
Arts Administration BA
The BA program is designed for students who want to acquire the leadership and management skills for today’s arts organizations.

The College of Fine Arts Theatre and Dance scholarship can be awarded to incoming or current students who qualify based on the guidelines laid out by the College of Fine Arts, and who have demonstrated a commitment to theatre and/or dance.
Transfer students are welcomed and admitted through the same procedures as other incoming students.
