Being able to tell a story through music is the skill every great performer possesses. While perfecting their skills, the UK piano students will be using technology to project visual images that portray the emotions they “decoded” in their musical pieces. These images will help to engage sight, sound and imagination to create an immersive experience and fully enrich the audience’s perception of the music. 

A collaborative concert of music and dance featuring choreography, performance, and composition by students in the University of Kentucky Department of Theatre and Dance and the UK School of Music. Free admission, registration suggested.

The UK Percussion Ensemble (5-time winner of the Percussive Arts Society International Percussion Ensemble Competition) presents their spring UKPE concert. Directed by Dr. Joshua D. Smith, with Assistant Directors, Jeremiah Ingram and Kyle McElroy.
