Nero's Fiddle
Appalachia in the Bluegrass Concert Series, sponsored by The John Jacob Niles Center for American Music and the UK College of Fine Arts
Conceived in a Luthiery in Hindman, KY, Nero's Fiddle was born in a limestone cave somewhere in Central Kentucky during the pandemic of 2020. Carl and Tina Wagoner, along with their friend, Ed Yancy, began to meet secretly to pass the endless empty hours imposed upon them by the shut down. As the nation began to revive, the trio emerged from their hiding, bringing with them a gift of music to offer to the world. Nero's Fiddle plays a unique blend of Appalachian Fiddle tunes, traditional Gospel, and a smattering of this and that. It is music that lifts up and allows this trio and their audience to journey to a simpler time, and to travel that road together.
