The University of Kentucky will commemorate 50 years of celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on campus on Tuesday, January 17 from 11:00am – 12:30pm. We look forward to celebrating this campus milestone with our campus and Lexington communities.

The 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr. celebration will highlight the university's involvement in recognizing Dr. Martin Luther King as a civil rights leader in the United States. This event will enhance the knowledge of students, faculty and staff regarding the civil rights movement in Kentucky and on the national front. Members of the UK community and the commonwealth will be exposed to inspirational art, music and conversations with civil rights living legends.

Sign language interpreters will also be present at this event.

This event is free and open to the public, however due to limited space, all persons interested in attending should please complete this registration form: https://uky.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_56m0WGcakbKZt8W
