SA/VS alumna gives back to students

Art studio alumna Brianna Armstrong (BFA '20) recently established the Alumni Award for Achievement (Big Steppa Award), in recognition of her School of Art and Visual Studies experience, in the spirit of giving back to others, and to help encourage current students.
UK composer Juan Trigos awarded Azrieli Commission for International Music

The University of Kentucky’s very own Juan Trigos was awarded with the 2024 Azrieli Commission for International Music. Trigos, in his first year at UK School of Music, is a composer, conductor and assistant professor of music theory and composition.
School of Music Faculty Travel to Corfu, Greece

From Oct. 16 – 20, 2023, eight faculty members from the University of Kentucky School of Music traveled to Ionian University in Corfu, Greece, to participate in the first full exchange as part of a new bilateral relationship between UK and Ionian University.
Art Museum Receives Grant from the Terra Foundation for American Art

The Terra Foundation awarded 57 grants in November 2022, amounting to a total of over $5.5 million, to support projects that expand narratives of American art to transform how stories of American art are told.
University of Kentucky Alumnus Aaron Levi Garvey Becomes the New Chief Curator at the Andy Warhol Museum

Aaron Levi Garvey is a Jewish-American Curator/Historian working and lecturing in Modern and Contemporary Arts and Culture. Currently Garvey is the Chief Curator of the Andy Warhol Museum.
