In today's episode, we sit down with Laura Neese, in the UK Department of Theatre and Dance to discuss the upcoming Summer Dance Intensive and Laura's work at the intersection of technology and dance coordinating the Dance Audio-Description initiative, one of the first in the state of Kentucky.

Laura Neese is a dance artist and educator from New York City.  Described as “ethereally romantic” by The Dance Enthusiast, Neese is a longtime company member of Bessie-nominated Darrah Carr Dance, and has performed works by artists including Carr, Melissa West, Sean Curran, Maho Ogawa, Chia Ying Kao, and Ann Carlson. Neese co-directed the NYC-based KitchenSink Collective from 2012-2016, and currently produces her own work through Laura Neese|Dance Projects. As a Lecturer in Dance at the University of Kentucky, Neese teaches across the Dance Curriculum, coordinates the Dance Audio-Description Initiative, and runs the Berlin Dance Education Abroad Program.
