Music Alum Wins Gold Stevie Award in 2024 International Business Awards

UK School of Music Alum Renee Collins Cobb, M.Ed. of Room 17 Productions, Inc wins two Stevie® Awards in a ceremony held in New York City on November 10, 2023.
For the second year in a row, School of Music alumnae Renee Cobb scores a win at the Stevie® Award, this time for her company Listen Locally, LLC, a consulting,
broadcast and media group based in Lexington, KY. Listen Locally was named the winner of a GOLD Stevie® Award in the Media and Entertainment Company of the
Year category in The 21st Annual International Business Awards®.

The International Business Awards are the world’s premier business
awards program. All individuals and organizations worldwide – public and
private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small - are eligible to
submit nominations. The 2024 IBAs received entries from organizations in
62 nations and territories. Winners will be celebrated during a gala banquet at the InterContinental Hotel in Istanbul, Türkiye on Friday, 11 October.

More than 3,600 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in
virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a
wide range of categories, including Company of the Year, Marketing
Campaign of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Startup
of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and
Executive of the Year, among others.

Listen Locally, LLC, founded and led by Warren and Renee Cobb, was
awarded GOLD in the Media and Entertainment category for Company of the
Year.

Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than
300 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process in June
and July.

Music Alum Wins 2023 Stevie Awards for Women In Business

 
New York, NY – November 11, 2023 – Renee Collins Cobb, M.Ed. of Room 17 Productions, Inc. has been named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Female Executive of the Year and Female Thought Leader of the Year categories in the 20th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor the achievements of women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they run– worldwide.  The Stevie Award have been hailed as the world’s premier business award.

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned,” the awards were presented to winners last night during a gala event attended by nominees and their guests at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.  The event was broadcast via Livestream.

More than 1,600 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 100 categories, including Executive of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Company of the Year, Startup of the Year, Women Helping Women, and Women Run Workplace of the Year.  Renee Collins Cobb, M.Ed. Room 17 Productions, Inc won in the Female Executive and Female Thought Leader categories for Non-Profit Organizations with 10 or fewer employees.
