UK Percussion Chamber Intensive

Ages 14+. Open to high school and college students.

The Summer Percussion Chamber Intensive is designed for the aspiring professional percussionist or interested enthusiast in chamber music. During the week, we will put together concerts, using high-level undergraduates and talented high schoolers to perform for the community. The camp will feature performances and instruction from UK faculty and guest artists all week. During the day, participants will rehearse with UK faculty and guest artists while also given time for practice and private lessons.

• Concerts and Specialized Masterclasses by the BlueShift Percussion Quartet
• Final Concert performed together by the end of the week with other participants
• Lessons with guest artists on campus
• Time to practice and rehearse
• Chamber coachings by members of the BlueShift Quartet
• Fast-paced learning environment 

Lunch and dinner on campus are included in tuition. Optional housing is available, please plan for students to bring their own linens (sheets, pillow cases, blankets, towels, etc.) if staying in the UK residence halls.
