The University of Kentucky Piano Studio will present "Making Music To Be Seen" in concert at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 26, in the Singletary Center for the Arts Recital Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.

The program will feature piano works by Frédéric Chopin, Ludwig van Beethoven, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Claude Debussy, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Edvard Grieg and Scott Joplin. Students performing in the concert study in the studio of Dr. Irina Voro.

This event is designed to be more than a typical classical concert. Piano students will share the stories and emotions they hear “behind the notes” by presenting personal visual images and short narratives alongside the music, inviting audiences of all backgrounds into a more immersive experience.

As they refine their performance skills, UK piano students will use projected images to reflect what they have “decoded” in each piece. By engaging sight, sound, and imagination, the concert aims to enrich the audience’s perception of the music and create a multisensory experience.

Experience a classical concert with a modern twist—an evening of talented UK piano students paired with creativity and visual storytelling.
