Sara Baird
Lecturer of Art Education
Sara Baird is a Lecturer of Art Education. She holds a BA in Studio Art (College of Wooster) and a MA in Art Education (Ohio State University). She became a National Board Certified Teacher in Elementary and Middle Childhood Art in 2014. She has over eighteen years of experience teaching PreK-8th grade Visual Art in public schools.
Sara's area of interest is choice-based art using the Teaching for Artistic Behaviors (TAB) teaching philosophy. She has served as a cooperating teacher and resource for numerous preservice student teachers, high school interns, and veteran teachers interested in choice-based methods. She presents at local and state conferences and has served on several community, education, and arts-related boards.
