Side By Side

The Side by Side program through Arts for All Kentucky is designed to make available creative opportunities to students, reinforce inclusiveness and positive self-image, and highlight the importance of visual arts education to the development of our young people with varied abilities.

For this exhibition, teaching artist Michelle Armstrong lead students from Picadome Elementary School's All Star program in several artmaking sessions. Then, UK Art Education majors enrolled in the course Art for All Learners with Dr. Jody Stokes-Casey, partnered with the elementary artists to create these collaborative artworks.
