Foundations Exhibit
The Foundations exhibition in the School of Art and Visual Studies, celebrates our first-year students in the BA and DMDE degree programs by displaying works created in their Foundations classes. The exhibition runs March 27 - April 2 with an opening reception on March 26 at 4:30 and an awards ceremony at 5:30. Students have the possibility to be selected for a scholarship award in the areas of First Place and Second Place, with five merit awards in the areas of 2D, 3D, Drawing, Digital Art and Lens Arts.
This year's juror is William Manke. Manke (b.1978) is an artist that focuses on social interaction through installation and game design. “I like to have fun. I like to watch people explore my art and games. I feel I am successful when participants are enjoying themselves.” Manke has shown art as an associate member of Pirate Art Coop in Denver, CO, and as an adjunct faculty member at Otterbein University. He has created and sold art and gaming products himself and through online retailers.
