Melanie Turner

Melanie, a native of Williamsburg, Kentucky, recently concluded a 13-year tenure as Administrative Assistant with the UK Department of Theatre & Dance where she also served as the House Manager for the last 6-years. She holds an M.A. in Arts Administration and a B.A. in Theatre with a History minor from the University of Kentucky.

From 2001 to 2011, Melanie lived in New York City, where she worked as an Executive Assistant for several Commercial Real Estate companies. This decade-long experience honed her administrative skills and rekindled her interest in arts administration. Upon returning to Lexington, she began focusing on this field, continuously expanding her knowledge and expertise. Her growing proficiency has resulted in adjunct faculty roles in both the Theatre & Dance and Arts Administration departments at the University of Kentucky.

With a background in theatre performance, Melanie enjoys immersing herself in the arts, attending numerous events whenever possible. In her leisure time, she indulges in reading, binge-watching Dateline, and cherishing moments with family, friends, and her two beloved dogs, Ollie and Maxx.
