Alicia Jay is an event producer and marketer. Her event management experience spans theater, pageants, and large-scale children’s events/summer camps. Her research interests include sustainability, social media in theater, and artificial intelligence in the arts. She regularly presents at conferences including the Association of Arts Administration Educators, International Federation for Theatre Researchers, and Mid America Theatre Conference. Striving to make events and art safer, Alicia is a member of the Event Safety Alliance, and is also a sensitivity specialist and fight choreographer with over 15 years of experience in stage combat; she has trained with the Society of American Fight Directors, Intimacy Directors and Coordinators, Theatrical Intimacy Education, and Ann James & Associates. She holds a Ph.D. in Fine Arts – Theater (with a focus in Arts Administration) from Texas Tech University.
