Kate is a Scenic/Experiential Designer and Scenic Artist with a passion for storytelling and creating transformative environments. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Scenic Design at the University of Kentucky, as well as the Scenic Studio Director at LDC Design Associates, where she serves as an Associate Scenic Designer on multiple productions at LORT and off-Broadway theatres. Kate has received numerous accolades for her work in the theatre industry, including two nominations for Best Scenic Design of a Play from the Richmond Theatre Critic's Circle and first place in the 2018 Southeastern Theatre Conference Graduate Scenic Design Competition. In addition to her work in the theatre, she has also worked across the country in large-scale events and festivals as Design Miami/, Superbowl LIV, Governor’s Ball, Rolling Loud, and the iHeart Radio Music Festival. Kate holds a BA in Theatre from the University of Kentucky and an MFA in Stage Design/Technical Theatre from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a member of United Scenic Artists, Local USA 829.
