Kate Sprengnether
Executive Assistant
Kate has been with the UK Art Museum since August 2017, as the operations and events manager. Prior to that she was the public art and design director with the Kentucky Arts Council. Other previous jobs include public art manager for the Legacy Trail, and gallery director for the Tuska Center of Contemporary Art and the Lexington Art League. Her first job at UK was in 1999, teaching ceramics as a sabbatical replacement for Bobby Scroggins. Kate has a BA in Art from Ursuline College and an MFA in Ceramics from Syracuse University. She lives in Lexington with her husband, artist Kurt Gohde, and her daughter, Lily. Her son, Mason, is a UK freshman.
