This free screening presented by UK College of Fine Arts and Lexington Central Library,  invites all audience members to view the award-winning film Telephone as part of a special White Cane Day Celebration this October 15th, in community with multiple screenings across the nation.

Telephone is the first screendance documentary created specifically with a blind and visually impaired audience in mind, while facilitating an immersive sensory experience for audience members of all sight levels. The film features diverse disabled and non-disabled artists from across the globe, demystifying and legitimizing audio description, not just as an access tool, but also as an art form in its own right. www.telephonefilm.com   

This screening includes an exclusive pre-recorded introduction by the film directors made for the celebration, and a post-show interactive discussion facilitated by UK College of Fine Arts Faculty members Dr. Winter Phong, Professor of Arts Administration, and Laura Neese, Lecturer in Dance. 

Any patron using Wheels transportation to access this event may request reimbursement passes upon arrival. Passes are generously provided by Bluegrass Council of the Blind.
