Zack Morris is a student advocate, arts administrator, yoga instructor and classical tenor. Zack holds Doctor of Musical Arts along with a Master of Music in Voice Performance from the University of Kentucky, and a Bachelor of Arts from Wingate University near Charlotte, NC.
Zack has led voice studios and taught music courses at the University of Kentucky, Murray State University and Centre College. Sought after for his skills and research in stress management and stress reduction techniques, Dr. Morris has been invited to present his findings nationwide at KYACDA, KY NATS, Yoga Alliance and the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts.
Specializing in Opera and Baroque Vocal repertoire, Zack has performed with various companies nationwide including the American Lyric Theatre, Opera Saratoga, Opera Maine, Kentucky Opera, Ohio Light Opera, Carolina Opera and Gulf Shore Opera. Zack is a frequent collaborator with the Kentucky Bach Choir, Bourbon Baroque, North Carolina Baroque Orchestra and the Artefact Ensemble to name a few.
Prior to his current role as an Academic Advisor, Zack was the Program Coordinator for the University of Kentucky Opera Theatre.
In addition to his academic and musical work, Zack leads a studio of select voice and yoga students in Central Kentucky and serves on a myriad of musical-focused boards and arts advocate groups.
