The Beat: Jason Dovel

In our sixth episode of The Beat: Conversations with the University of Kentucky College of Fine Arts Community, we sat down with Jason Dovel, associate professor of trumpet in the UK School of Music. In addition to teaching trumpet, he also is Chair of the Division of Winds, Percussion, and Jazz, as well as Director of UK’s Bilateral Partnership with Ionian University in Corfu, Greece. Jason discusses the upcoming Summer Trumpet Institute and his love of both Michael Jackson and Bach.
