Special Lecture: Laura Katzman 

Scholar and curator Laura Katzman discusses her acclaimed exhibition Ben Shahn, On Nonconformity, the artist’s first retrospective in the U.S. in nearly half a century. The exhibition was presented by the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, Madrid in 2023-2024, and then adapted for the Jewish Museum, New York City in 2025. Dr. Katzman will address Shahn’s engagement with issues of social justice, immigration, civil rights, and dissent, and will also discuss the urgent relevance of his work today.
