High School Dance Day 2024

High school dancers are invited to engage in dance workshops taught by professional dance faculty, Q&As with both faculty and current students, and tours of our facilities on campus. Plus, all participants will be provided lunch at the Gatton Student Center Champions Kitchen and one complimentary ticket to our Dance Performance mainstage production, HOME: Annual Dance Concert at 7:30 pm in the Guignol Theatre.

SCHEDULE

• 8:30-9am - Sign-in (Fine Arts Building Lobby, 465 Rose Street)
• 9-10:15am - Modern
• 10:15-11:30am - Ballet
• 11:30am-1pm - Short Campus Tour and Lunch at Champions Kitchen (Gatton Student Center- Lunch compliments of UK Department of Theatre & Dance)
• 1-2:15pm - Jazz (on the Guignol Theatre Stage)
• 2:15-3pm - Discussion about UK Dance Program and Q & A
• 7:30-9pm - Attend Home: Annual Dance Concert and Q & A after with the Dancers and Choreographers (Optional)
