High School Dance Day

Join the University of Kentucky Department of Theatre & Dance on Friday, January 27, 2023 for a day of free dance workshops taught by our faculty, Q&As with both faculty and current students, and tours of our facilities on campus. Plus, all participants will be provided lunch at the Gatton Student Center Champions Kitchen and one complimentary ticket to our mainstage production, "Rooted Forces" Dance Concert at 7:30 pm in the Guignol Theatre. Registration is required.

SCHEDULE

8:30am - 9:00am- Sign-in (Fine Arts Building Lobby, 465 Rose Street)

9:00am - 10:15am- Ballet (Laura Neese)

10:15am - 11:30am- Modern (Theresa Bautista)

11:30am - 1:00pm- Short Campus Tour and Lunch at Champions Kitchen (Gatton Student Center- Lunch compliments of UK Department of Theatre & Dance)

1:00pm - 3:00pm- Join UK dance students for Jazz (master class series with Susie Thiel)

3:00pm - 4:00pm- Discussion about UK Dance Program and Q & A

7:30pm - 9:00 pm- Attend "Rooted Forces" Dance Concert and Q & A after with the Dancers and Choreographers (Optional)
