Dance Performances

The University of Kentucky Department of Theatre and Dance presents one mainstage dance concert and one student choreography showcase, as well as other opportunities to perform on campus, in the community, with guest artists, and to represent UK at dance conferences and festivals.

Past performances outside the University include:

  • Cincinnati Fringe Festival 2013
  • National Dance Education Organization 2013

Multiple student and faculty choreographic works have received Gala Honors at the annual ACDA conference:

  • eNigma – student choreography by Shannon Burgess and Caroline Smith 2017
  • Confluence – choreography by Stephanie Harris 2015
  • Shame: a Fragrance by Calvin Klein – choreography by Susie Thiel – first runner up 2014
  • Dead Weight – student choreography by Megan Jellison 2013
