Todd Jones is a Ph.D. candidate in musicology at the University of Kentucky and an assistant pastor at Stanley Heights Baptist Church in East Ridge, TN. His dissertation examines the relationship between Lowell Mason and the genteel tradition, and he has presented his research for the American Musicological Society, the American Handel Society, the Society for Historians of the Early American Republic, and the History Special Research Interest Group of the National Association for Music Education. Todd holds degrees in History, Church Music, and Divinity from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. While at BJU, he studied voice with C. Stanley Eby and performed with the University Chorale and the BJU Opera Association. His research interests include Handel in early America and American church music. He also loves theology, sports, and time with his family.
