Lindsey Kovach

Lindsey Kovach is a sophomore at UK majoring in Flute Performance and Business. She is from Paducah, Kentucky, but grew up in Columbus, Ohio. She has been playing the flute for eight years and plans to pursue a career in flute performance. She was a member of the 2019 KMEA Intercollegiate Band and has been awarded the Semper Fidelis Award for Musical Excellence. Here at UK, she is a piccolo section leader in the Wildcat Marching Band and is a member of the Pep Band, Wind Symphony and Flute Ensemble. She is a sister of the Delta Omega chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota and the Eta Zeta chapter of Tau Beta Sigma where she serves as Sisterhood Chair. She also enjoys teaching piano lessons with the Piano Preparatory Program. Outside of the College of Fine Arts, Lindsey is a member of the Lewis Honors College. In her free time, she loves to travel. So far, she has been to seven countries and has had the honor of performing in London, Paris, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. Since she became a student at UK, she has gotten to travel to Orlando, Florida for the Citrus Bowl and New York City to perform in the UK Wind Symphony at Carnegie Hall. Lindsey is excited to serve as a CFA student ambassador and looks forward to sharing her experiences with prospective students.


I wanted to become a CFA Student Ambassador to help prospective students to learn about the programs offered here so that they can make an informed decision about college. I'm excited to share my experiences and to help future students choose to come to UK!
