INTERESTS: Symphony Orchestra (Violin) and pre-veterinarian

Katherine Goble (Violin) is from Lexington, KY. She is studying Music with a minor in Political Science and on the Pre-Veterinarian Medicine track. She is a member of the University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra. The Orchestra performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City this past summer. She is also the College of Fine Arts representative for the University of Kentucky Student Government Association. She was chosen to attend Prague Summer Nights Young Artists Music Festival in the Czech Republic. It allowed her to perform in some of Europe’s most historic venues. She performed in Walt Disney World EPCOT’s Candlelight Processional while participating in the Disney College Program and she spent this past semester as an Intern in the Office of the Governor of Kentucky, Matthew Bevin. Katherine is excited to be a Student Ambassador because she loves people. She loves meeting them, she loves talking to them, and she loves sharing and learning from them. It has been so rewarding for her to attend the University of Kentucky College of Fine Arts. She is very proud to be a student here and wants to introduce others to our program. Being an Ambassador is a great way for her to get connected, serve her school and the community and serve potential students. In her free time she loves to travel. She has recently vacationed in France, Tennessee, Canada, Germany, Cuba and of course, Walt Disney World. Katherine plays the violin in local nursing homes. She volunteers at an animal clinic and loves nature. Her favorite thing is hiking with her dogs and attending concerts and plays throughout the Lexington community. REASON FOR BECOMING AN AMBASSADOR
First and foremost, I love people. I love meeting them, I love talking to them and I love sharing and learning with them. Second, I love the University of Kentucky and the college of Fine Arts. This has been a fantastic fit for me. I have enjoyed the UKSO so much. It has been one of my favorite activities that I have ever done. I enjoy Professor Nardolillo and have a great respect for his teaching skills. I also think that I will develop a wide range of transferable skills that will help me in the future. This is a great way for me to get connected, serve my school and the community and serve potential students.
