Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Music Theory and Composition

The School of Music seeks applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor in Music Theory and Composition to begin August 2019.  This new hire will join an established team of five full-time faculty in the Division of Music Theory and Composition and will build a studio of private composition students and provide individual composition lessons. Incumbent will also teach two to three undergraduate and/or graduate music theory courses each year and assist in the supervision of graduate teaching assistants assigned to undergraduate theory courses. The position will also supervise students using the new electro-acoustic music studio; maintain the studio; and make recommendations to the division and to the Director of the School of Music for ongoing development of the electro-acoustic studio.
