David G. Elliott is Associate Professor of Horn at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky. In addition to principal horn in the Lexington Philharmonic, he also holds positions in the Peninsula Music Festival, Fish Creek, Wisconsin; the McCracken Wind quintet; the Chinook Winds; the University of Kentucky Faculty Brass Quintet; and The Kentuckianna Brass and Percussion Ensemble. He is the personnel manager of both the Lexington Philharmonic and The Peninsula Music Festival Orchestra. Mr. Elliott has performed professionally with the Toledo, Dayton, Nashville, Owensboro and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestras and the U.S. Marine Band of Washington, D.C. Before his appointment at The University of Kentucky, Mr. Elliott was a member of the faculty at Murray State University and he has been a visiting instructor at The Royal Northern Academy of Music in Manchester, England. He has studied at the University of Michigan, the Catholic University of America and the University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music. Mr. Elliott is an artist clinician for the United Musical Instrument Company and plays the Conn 8D Horn.
