The collaborative event is presented by Irina Voro, professor in the School of Music in the College of Fine Arts and Anna Voskresensky, senior lecturer in the Department of Modern and Classical Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (MCLLC) in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Throughout the program, MCLLC students will recite poetry in Russian and English and students from the School of Music will perform piano ensemble compositions. The concert, which masterfully combines language and music, will also feature a diverse range of authors and composers.

In their roles at UK, Voro encourages her piano students to reach beyond the limitations of sheet music and inspires them to tell a story, while Voskresensky actively integrates music into the Russian curriculum to help students develop an appreciation for the musicality of language.

"Every note played, every lyric sung, is a testament to the dedication and passion of our students," Voskresensky said. "And by combining language and music, we hope to engage the audience in a beautiful experience and ultimately unite them through the poetry of music and the music of poetry."
