This work investigates spaces and objects most often overlooked but serve specific roles in our daily routines. I am fascinated by the clues they can offer to the more complete context of how a space is used by an individual.

Print Sale

PRINT SALE

After a spirited 4-day printmaking workshop with over 100 participants, the UK Art Museum is ready to share wonderful and experimental prints that might be just what you are looking for to enliven your home or office. Made by adults and children, trained and self-taught, all of the artists have created colorful monoprints (one of a kind paintings on plexiglass transferred to paper; see examples above) and lively Risograph prints and folded zines (made using a unique copier that produces silkscreen stencil-like results.  

Open Studio 2018

Open Studio is an annual event organized by the Art Graduate Student Association of UK's School of Art & Visual Studies. During the event, the MFAs and BFAs have their studios open for viewing by the public. One of the highlights of the event is the Carey Ellis juried student exhibition. It is a chance for students to both show their artwork and receive scholarship awards for their hard work.

Performance: Veiled-Tender-Presence-Afar

Inspired by the proximity and yet seemingly vast distance portrayed between the family members in Meatyard’s photographs, Rae Goodwin will perform for the first time with her partner, Chris Riegert, and his two sons, Evan and Griffin Riegert, on the Hindu holiday, Divali. This slow work remarks upon time, tenderness and emotional remove.
