UK Symphony Orchestra: The Rite of Spring & Kerr plays Prokofiev

Join the University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra as they welcome violinist, Alexander Kerr, to the stage! The concert will feature Stravinsky’s legendary ballet score, “The Rite of Spring.” The concert will also include the Kentucky premiere of a recently rediscovered Stravinsky masterpiece, Alexander Kerr playing Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2, and a colorful work by French composer Oliver Messiaen.

University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra presents the fourth concert of its 99th season: "Brahms Symphony No. 4 & Concerto Competition Winner" in the SCFA Concert Hall.

Join the UKSO as they welcome the winners of the 2018 Concerto Competition. Guest artists for this concert include David Seder, trombone, and Chase Teachey, euphonium. The orchestra will also perform a Kentucky premiere as well as Brahms' monumental fourth symphony.
