Multi-instrumentalist, multimedia director and composer “Finn the fiddler” has watched his career surge ever since the 2016 release of his 2-disc concept album Roots & Branches which debuted at #46 on the Folk DJ charts. Roots is a pure-drop disc of Irish trad and an homage to the music and musicians that first inspired Magill’s fiddling. Guitar Series - Romilio Orellana

UK Guitar Weekend - Nicolò Spera

Italian guitarist and CU Boulder Professor of Guitar Nicolò Spera brings to his teaching and performing a unique synthesis of European and American traditions. Spera is also one of the few guitarists in the world to perform on a ten-string guitar, with which he has made captivating recordings of music by JS Bach and Maurice Ohana.

Guitar Series - Xavier Jara

Guitar Series - Dieter Hennings

Mexican-born guitarist Dieter Hennings arrived in Lexington eight years ago to direct the guitar program at UK. Hennings opens the season in style with a program centered around two monumental sets of variations on the ancient Iberian folksong La Folia de España.
