Alexandra Burns

Alexandra is a senior in the Arts Administration program and has wanted to work in the music industry since she was about thirteen years old. She started out with wanting to do live event/concert photography but has since switched over to the more administrative area of the industry. She actually got the chance to photograph the award-winning rock band Black Veil Brides when she was just thirteen and the band was really just getting started. This was a pivotal experience for Alexandra and really taught her to push for her goals.

She stays very active throughout the arts community on campus! She is the senior peer mentor for the Creative Arts LLP on campus, a job she loves very much as she is able to help freshmen adjust to life at the University and life after high school. She was one of three (the only undergraduate) recipients of the 2017 Rosemary Pond Leadership Award presented by the Office of Residence Life for her work with the LLP. She was also presented with the Desk Clerk of the Year 2016 – 2017 award.

Alexandra chose to be a CFA Student Ambassador because not only does she love UK, but she loves the College of Fine Arts. She has been given so many great opportunities within the College and the University, and she wants to give back by telling as many people as she can about it!
