Workshop: Monoprints and Risographs

For several days the Museum becomes a printmaking and publishing studio, giving visitors the chance to use a small proofing press and a Risograph machine. Museum staff and faculty from UK’s School of Art & Visual Studies will serve as guides, and all materials will be provided. This is a rare opportunity to make unique works on paper, posters, and books.

Students, faculty, staff, and community members are welcome. All we ask is the donation of one of your prints, to be sold for the benefit of the Museum.

A special Instant Mini-Zine Workshop, led by David Wischer, will be offered on Jan. 17 and 19 ONLY, 2-3:30 pm both days. Make an 8-page mini-zine using one sheet of paper! In this hands-on workshop, learn how a series of clever folds and one cut with scissors can easily create a small zine without staples or binding. Paper and mark making materials (pens, pencils, markers, etc.) will be provided, and volunteers will be on hand to explain and demonstrate the process. Bring your own images (2.5" x 4" per page) or create your own drawings or writing during the workshop
