THRIVING ARTISTS SERIES: LEXINGTON DECONSTRUCTED
THRIVING ARTISTS SERIES:LEXINGTON DECONSTRUCTED
Wednesday, February 21
6:00 – 8:00 pm, UK Art Museum, FREE
This is the second in a series of candid conversations about the internal and external motivations for making art. Museum Director Stuart Horodner will serve as facilitator.
At the first event we talked about IDENTITY with a diverse group of painters, photographers, designers, sculptors, bookmakers, mixed-media artists, musicians and writers. It was a candid conversation about why and how people make things.
The next event in the series is LEXINGTON DECONSTRUCTED. We will talk about Lexington as a specific art ecology with unique opportunities and challenges. We have invited a range of gallerists and curators to talk about their venues and how to best engage with them. (This is not a bitch session.)You do not need to have attended the first session to come to the second. Please invite artists or art lovers you know; the dialogue will be helpful for anyone interested in the arts in our city.
The next and last of the series will be: OPPORTUNITIES on Wednesday, March 21
405 Rose Street, Lexington, KY
