Jeromy Smith is an Oklahoma native and graduate of Oklahoma City University (Bachelor of Science in Dance and Arts Management). Jeromy spent many years as a professional performer including appearances in the National Tours of Swing and 42nd Street as well as several acclaimed regional theatres including Papermill Playhouse, Houston TUTS, Music Theatre of Wichita and Oklahoma Lyric. He appeared in television’s A Capitol Fourth and Star Search. Jeromy also worked for several years, behind the scenes on Broadway for Jujamycn Theatres and Richards/Climan, Inc. At RCI, he served as Associate General Manager, where projects included August: Osage County (Tony and Pulitzer Prize), The Pee-Wee Herman Show, Blithe Spirit (starring Angela Lansbury), November (starring Nathan Lane), David Mamet’s Race and Speed-the-Plow, Superior Donuts and many more. He and his wife, Lyndy, recently directed and choreographed Spring Awakening for UK Theatre. Other choreography credits include Betty Blue Eyes (American Premiere), 9 to 5, Finian’s Rainbow and Sunset Boulevard for the acclaimed Music Theatre of Wichita; and three seasons of It’s a Grand Night for Singing with the University of Kentucky Opera Theatre. Smith is in demand as a guest lecturer and master teacher for numerous schools, universities and workshops. In addition to teaching at UK, he is co-Executive Director and on faculty at Town and Village School of Dance in Paris, Ky., and continues to direct and choreograph regionally.
